We are looking for a marketing professional who loves working to understand how the mindsets, motivations, and behaviors of people can be used as the basis for relevant web experiences that exceed expectations and drive people to take action.
Summary:
As a key member of Constant Contact's expanding Conversion Marketing Team, this newly created position will be responsible for establishing, maintaining, and executing the strategic vision of Constant Contact's main website property - www.constantcontact.com . Reporting to the Director of Conversion Marketing, this position will be responsible for ensuring that Constant Contact offers up the most relevant and successful pre-sales web experience aimed at increasing the number of product trialers coming from our large number of website visitors population. He/ She will actively partner with our Website Product and Website Engineering Organizations to ensure that needed business requirements, experience enhancements, and usability improvements are documented, understood, agreed to, and efficiently put into production so as to meet (and exceed) the established business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the establishment, documentation, and management of Constant Contact's business and marketing strategy for our main web property www.constantcontact.com .
- Managerial responsibility for Constant Contact's Web Marketing Team - presently involving direct management of the Website Campaign Manager position.
- Responsible for improving the conversion rate of website visitors who become active product trialers for either (or both) our email marketing or online survey product(s).
- Continue to expand the number of unique and relevant website experiences through usage of various in-house technologies aimed at more effectively messaging to web prospects and visitors.
- Continuously analyze and improve the overall web experience based on improved knowledge and insight gained from the various web analytics tools presently in house (Omniture, Offermatica, and Google Analytics).
- Continuous strategic analysis of Constant Contact's expanding prospect audience to identify changes in behaviors, business type makeup, and usage patterns for use as the basis of new and improved website experiences.
- Drive the collaboration within teams across Constant Contact to ensure that all messaging and website offers are correctly positioned and speaking to the appropriate and desired audience.
- Partner with our Sr. Customer Marketing Manager to ensure a cohesive end to end web experience strategy from the point of first time web visit to customer retention and ongoing customer loyalty.
- Collaborate with our Director of Customer Experience to ensure that Constant Contact's website is positively contributing to our overall satisfaction and Net Promoter scores.
- Additional relevant projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- Experience with creating and managing website marketing and experience strategies with an emphasis on offering multiple / relevant experiences for different segments of a web visitor audience.
- Hands on experience with direct response programs and best practices
- Hands on experience with relationship marketing programs and best practices
- Passionate, high energy, resourceful, self starter, and multi-tasker; works well in fast paced environments.
- Innovative thinker with the ability to propose and drive new marketing ideas and concepts into the marketing organization.
- Team player with successful track record of working with cross functional work groups and works independently with broad general direction
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Well organized with attention detail
- Strong analytical skills / passion for analyzing prospect market dynamics
- Knowledge of small business market and email marketing / survey industry and competitive analysis a plus.
- Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business, or related field. MBA a plus
- 10+ years of experience in marketing, customer marketing or market programs
